What is Mentaya?

Mentaya is a third-party service that helps our clients seek reimbursements from their insurance companies through out-of-network benefits.         

Mentaya is perfect if you:    

  • You have health insurance, however, Reviive clinicians either are not credentialed with them, or the plan you have selected renders us out-of-network. 
  • Have out-of-network benefits    
  • Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance    
  • Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement    
  • Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!        

How does it work?    

  • Sign up for Mentaya (click the sign up link below)
  • Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.   
  • Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.    
  • You get reimbursed by insurance  

NOTE: Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

What if I have past superbills I haven't submitted?

Mentaya can definitely help with that! Once you setup an account, you can upload all of your past superbills on Mentaya by going to the Past Superbills section in your patient portal and they'll take care of it. 

Which insurance plans are eligible for reimbursement?

You are eligible if your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits (PPO, POS, and HDHP plans). HMOs, Medicaid, and traditional Medicare plans do not have OON benefits. 

What if I don't see my insurance when I'm signing up?

Mentaya works with all the major insurance plans (and more)! If you don't see your insurance company listed, email support@mentaya.com and they'll add it to their list. 

Once I set up my account, do I need to take additional steps to submit claims?

Nope, that's it! Mentaya has got you covered – they'll work with your us at Reviive to make sure your claims are submitted successfully. 

What happens if my claim gets rejected?

Truthfully, Mentaya rarely receive rejections. They have an intelligent claims system that ensures your claims get submitted correctly. But if something does go wrong, they'll take care of it and resubmit the claim for you at no extra cost – or give you a full refund if for whatever reason your insurance refuses to accept the claim. 

How does Mentaya reimbursement work and what factors affect the amount and timing of the reimbursement?

Mentaya works with your Reviive clinician to submit claims for you, so all you have to do is wait for your insurance reimbursement checks to arrive in the mail / direct deposited into your bank account.

The exact amount you get reimbursed will depend on your particular insurance plan. PPO plans can cover anywhere from 30-80% of the session cost.

Once you meet your deductible, it takes a few weeks for you to get reimbursed. Mentaya submits claims after every session to help you get reimbursed as quickly as possible. 

Is my data safe?

Yes! Mentaya is HIPAA compliant. They only use your information to calculate your benefits and file claims on your behalf. Your data will never be shared without your consent.
